The theme for LOAD512 is Out of the Box. I'm excited to see what prompts Lain has in store for us. The prompt for Lain Ehmann's Layout a Day (LOAD512) challenge for Day 1 was - Self Portrait.
Considering HALF of the 29 layouts that I created in February were about me, this prompt isn't really pushing me outside of my comfort zone. So, I didn't truly take this prompt to heart. I did do a page about me, but more so about my girlfriends from high school. I already had this picture printed and decided to take the easy route, rather than really dig into the recesses of my photo stash and introspection for a true self portrait.
I hope tomorrow's outside the box prompt has something to do with birthdays, because I have at least 10 birthday layouts to catch up on!
Journaling Reads: These girls are fabulous! From their shoes, to their hair, to their hearts, to the belly-laughs we share. Enduring friendships and love.
Some observations about the process and the products used:
- Stampin' Up patterned paper.
- Fabulous is a Heidi Swapp silhouette.
- I need a new white pen.
- This is what happens when you accidentally print a picture for the wrong size frame...use it on a scrapbook page!
- Since this photo was taken when Ashton was barely 3 months old, I should have journaled a story about how much I miss and how in love I am with those FABULOUS nursing boobs.
